Tim Peterson enjoys basking in the musty glow of all shapes and sizes of records. Having spent three decades (Ah-Oo-Gah!) in music retail, he has come to realize the surface of delightful tunes has hardly been scratched. Having put in his time at corporate music retail, and Chicagoland independent chain 2nd Hand Tunes, Tim and Co. opened up Hi-Fi Records in 1996 as an all vinyl enterprise. Fast forward to 2011 and the opening of Squeezebox, his latest venture in Evanston, IL where he also resides with his wife, child and cat (at least until the records push him out of the house and into the garage). MARC
Marc Harley Wilson has been collecting music in various formats for over 40 years. In the past 10 he discovered the magic of the 78rpm record. Marc holds a degree in Radio & Theatre from Columbia College in Chicago and has worked professionally as an actor with the Piven Theatre Workshop. He has also graced the boards, airwaves, and worked behind the scenes of WBUR, WBEZ, WRUV, WCFE, and WTBU where he discovered the power of the random record. Marc works in the technology industry and lives in Evanston, IL with his wife, son, and dog, two turntables, some microphones, and five windup phonographs (or gramophones depending your side of the pond).
